MADHUPANI PAINTINGS

MADHUBANI ART

Madhubani Painting or Mithila Painting are most commonly used in the State of Bihar in India.
The literal meaning of Madhubani is “Forest Honey”.
These eye catching paintings are created using fingers, brushes, match sticks, etc., etc.,
Natural dyes and pigments are used to enhance the quality of painting.
The theme of the paintings are Birth, Marriage, Kali Puja, Durga Puja etc.,..
All the empty gaps in the paintings are filled by objects like animals and geometrical designs.
The materials required are:
A4 sketch sheet, round brushes, madhubani designs, carbon sheet, black marker pen and poster colours. ( I have used Acrylic Colours)
Just trace the design, mark the sketch lines darker by using black marker pen and colour it with bright colours.
We can admire the lovely bright broad eyes in each colourful Madhubani Paintings.
